Dark Headbonk Goombas are stronger versions of Headbonk Goombas in the game Super Paper Mario.  They look exactly like regular Dark Goombas, only they attack with zig-zagging headbonks. They are not really "dark" creatures, just shadows of Headbonk Goombas. They are only found in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials and in one room: #95. It is thought that shadoo the monster a the bottom of the same pit created it with it's power to clone anyone.

The Dark Headbonk Goomba's Catch Card is one of the only instances where text was changed between the North American and PAL region versions of the game. The NA version reads "They look like Dark Goombas, but they bonk!", but because "bonk" is a British slang term for sexual intercourse, the line was changed to "They look like Dark Goombas, but they're not!" in the PAL region.
