What [[Luigi]] needs to do in this room is to shine the [[Strobulb]] on one of the E-Gates, after this a cutscene will activate showing Luigi passing his hand through one of the E-gates. After this, Luigi passes through them, ending up on the other side. If Luigi tries to open the door, it will be locked, to get to the [[Skip Slope]], Luigi must bring the [[Key]] over to the other side, melt the key, and then use it on the door. The Crossroads are not used until D-2, as in D-1, Luigi cannot get over because he cannot go to a room without [[Toad]]. |

It is accessed by taking the left door inside of the [[Airway (Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon)|Airway]]. It is a small room separated by a large gap. The two sections of the rooms are connected by [[E-Gate]]s which [[Professor E. Gadd]] had previously placed during his time inside of the mine. There is a minecart on the left side of the room and a lantern on the right side. The door to the right leads back to the Airway and the door on the left leads to the [[Skip Slope]]. | |

| During D-2: [[Hit Rock Bottom]], [[Luigi]] must go into the Crossroads to reach the [[Crystal Quarry]] in the basement. However, when he gets there, the door to the Skip Slope is locked. Nearby is a [[key]] frozen in a block of ice. He must go through the E-Gate to get the key inside of the minecart. He must bring the key to the lantern to melt the ice around it. After this, he can go through the door.

If Luigi reveals the minecart with the [[Dark-Light Device]], the [[Spirit Ball]]s fly to the other side of the Crossroads. After he captures the Spirit Balls, a [[Gem#Sapphires (Secret Mine)|sapphire]] pops out of the minecart.
