Crazee Dayzees' first appearance is in ''[[Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island]]'', where they act as minor recurring enemies throughout the game and can have either white or yellow petals. Crazee Dayzees behave similarly to [[Shy Guy|Shy-Guy]]s, but will survive being swallowed and spat out unless they collide with another enemy. An uncommon variation with purple petals that spits out bubbles known as [[Bubble Dayzee]] can also be found in some levels.

Crazee Dayzees reappear in ''[[Yoshi's Island DS]]'', where they act as they did in the previous game. They are found in many levels, including [[Ba-dum BUM!]], [[Hit the M Blocks!]], [[Mario's Fleet Feet]], [[Baby Mario and Baby Peach: Dynamic Duo]] and [[Donuts and Eggs]]. Notably, the Bubble Dayzees do not appear in this game.

Crazee Dayzees reappear in ''[[Yoshi's New Island]]'' and behave identically as in the first two games.

Crazee Dayzees in the ''[[Paper Mario (series)|Paper Mario]]'' series all have lavender petals and purple feet, potentially inspired by [[Bubble Dayzee]]'s design.

In ''[[Paper Mario]]'', Crazee Dayzees first appear as enemies in [[Flower Fields]], where they attack Mario on sight and often fight alongside [[Bzzap!|Bzzaps!]] and [[Ruff Puff]]s. They typically attack by singing, putting [[Mario]] to [[sleep]]. They will [[flee]] from battle when Mario gets their HP low enough. A rare variant known as the [[Amazy Dayzee]] first appears in this game, which has higher HP, and much higher attack in comparison.

Crazee Dayzees, along with Amazy Dayzees, make a return appearance in ''[[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door]]'' as well as its [[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (Nintendo Switch)|Nintendo Switch remake]]. In this game, they can be found along the [[Twilight Trail]] near [[Twilight Town]]. Like in the previous installment, they attack by singing, putting Mario or his partner to [[sleep]] (while also [[Piercing attack|piercing]] defense), and [[flee]] from battle at low HP. Amazy Dayzees also appear in the lower levels of the [[Pit of 100 Trials (Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door)|Pit of 100 Trials]] and alongside other enemies in Twilight Trail. Starting with Twilight Trail, Crazee Dayzees can start appearing in the [[audience]]; if one sings, it will put a large swath of audience members to sleep for a short period. A Crazee Dayzee with green petals and blue feet, known as [[Hayzee]], appears as [[Luigi]]'s ally. He joined Luigi on his adventure to assemble the [[List of Implied Items#Marvelous Compass|Marvelous Compass]] after being impressed by Luigi's portrayal of "grass" in a play. Hayzee is from a town of Crazee Dayzees known as [[List of implied locations#Jazzafrazz Town|Jazzafrazz Town]], which is the first time that a Crazee Dayzee is shown to be an ally, rather than just a simple enemy.

Crazee Dayzees return in ''[[Super Paper Mario]]''. They can be found in [[the Dotwood Tree]] and rooms 26 and 58 of the [[Flipside Pit of 100 Trials]]. When they sing, a musical note fires from them towards the player like a projectile and puts them to sleep when hit. Its stronger variety, the [[Amazy Dayzee]], also returns.
