The goal of this minigame is to collect as many coins as possible by smashing the Brick Blocks that contain them. Three rows of Brick Blocks move from left to right. They can also be used as platforms to reach higher blocks. Brick Blocks that contain nothing are destroyed when hit. Brick Blocks that contain a single coin transform into Empty Blocks when hit. Brick Blocks that contain multiple coins can be hit until they are empty, turning into Empty Blocks. The three rows of blocks stop moving occasionally and start moving in the opposite direction a few seconds later. If players step off one side of the screen, they will appear on the other side in a similar way to the gameplay of Mario Bros. Players can also jump on their opponents to decrease their jump height temporarily. Despite what the rules state, all the players win the minigame as long as they collect at least one coin.
Like in any other coin-collecting minigame in the Mario Party series, the goal of the player is to collect the most coins within the time limit. Unlike what the in-game instructions imply, everyone keeps the coins they collect, rather than there being a single winner. In this specific game, the player must smash as many Brick Blocks as possible, hoping to obtain coins. Like in most Mario games, the coins don't fall out; the player just has to hit the block to obtain the coin.

There are three types of blocks in this minigame:
*The first one is the usual Brick Block. It contains nothing, and when hit, it is destroyed.
*The second one contains a single coin. When hit, it transforms into a Used Block.
*The third one, also the rarest of all, this one can be hit several times. When it has no more coins, it turns into a Used Block.

These blocks, though, are not just there for the player to hit. In a sidescroller-like engine, there are a total of three rows of Brick Blocks, which move from left to right. The player is restricted to only move from left to right, rather than in all directions, like in most other minigames. The rows of blocks, though, stop moving every now and then for a few seconds, and then, a few seconds later, move in the opposite direction, which the players can use to climb to higher rows of bricks. The players may also step off one side of the screen and appear on the other, like in Mario Bros..

The players perform their victory animations. If a player did not collect a coin, they do their losing animation.
The players perform their victory animations wherever they are.
