He dons a fez in addition to the purple and yellow striped suit of a jester's. Additionally, Cloaker himself resembles the shape of a bottle, with his fez serving as the cork or stopper - this is all the more relevant regarding his use of a cobra in the second phase of this battle.

Cloaker and Domino challenged the heroes to a battle, and the duo proved to be formidable opponents. However, the key to their strength rested in their ability to fight as a team. As a pair, the two jesters could offset each others weaknesses. Domino was strong at magic attacks but physically weak, while Cloaker had high physical attack and defense but could not wield (or withstand) magic. Thus, Mario and his party focused their attacks on one of the jesters. With one villain gone, the other would recognize his own weaknesses and retreat.
