'''Chuckleroot''' is a large, gnarled tree that lives in [[Chucklehuck Woods]]. He guards the [[Mother Chuckalola]], the mother tree for the forest, where the [[Chuckola Reserve]] is located. During the events of ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]'', the heroes of the [[Mushroom Kingdom]], [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]], travel to the forest to find a cure for [[Queen Bean]]'s stomach illness. Before they can pass however, Chuckleroot asks the plumbers to collect three special [[Chuckola Fruit]]s as proof of their worthiness. Eventually, Mario and Luigi collect the requested fruit and enter the [[Chuckola Cola]] brewery.

Chuckleroot also has an unnamed granddaughter that Mario and Luigi meet during their time in Chucklehuck Woods. She is also a gnarled tree, although smaller than her grandfather. She teaches Luigi how to obtain [[bean]]s from the ground.
