Its name is a corruption of "chopper," an alternate term for "helicopter," referring to the enemy's propeller. Choppahs fly in a vertical straight line in most [[Galaxy|galaxies]]. Choppahs first appear in the [[Honeybloom Galaxy]] as the main obstacles. These enemies later appear in the [[Sweet Mystery Galaxy]] (where they are only seen flying horizontally), [[Honeyhop Galaxy]], and [[Flip-Out Galaxy]], as well as during the [[Grandmaster Galaxy]]'s mission [[The Perfect Run]]. These enemies can be defeated only by being eaten by [[Yoshi]] and release three [[Star Bit]]s upon being eaten. Most of the time, Choppahs appear when the player must traverse through a 2D pathway. They are less common when the pathway is 3D, mostly appearing when the platforms are narrow or have less ground.
