During [[The Hole in the Desert]], an objective in the Sand Kingdom, night has fallen in the area and Chinchos roam the surface. Only four Chinchos appear at a time, but as long as Mario is close to the sand more will appear. Their presence scares the Tostareans. Once the objective is complete, the Sand Kingdom returns to daytime and Chinchos do not appear this way. However, they now appear in the [[Deepest Underground]], in the arena where [[Knucklotec]] was initially fought.
