They are one of the more common enemy species in the game, appearing in various locations such as [[Yold Desert]], the [[Gap of Crag]] or the [[Flipside Pit of 100 Trials]] in room 6. They have the ability to put the player to [[sleep]] by spewing pink gas at them.

He alludes to their bottom-like appearance by saying he will "Spank (Clobber in the British English version) 'em like naughty little Cherbils". [[Tippi]]'s [[tattle]] on the Cherbils also supports this claim. Additionally, their common drop of [[Peachy Peach]]es may be a subtle joke regarding the fruit's own bottom-like shape.
