Cheesy Chesters are rodent enemies in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its port. They have vermilion-colored fur, indigo skin, a big violet snout, big ears, and small eyes. Cheesy Chesters appear in the Autumn Heights world, and are usually encountered in subterranean areas with cheese, such as Crumble Cavern and Rodent Ruckus. They have some anthropomorphic characteristics as shown from their ability to be bipedal, by only walking on only their back feet while swaying their front feet like arms. When a Cheesy Chester notices the Kongs, it starts walking on all fours and charges at them. If the Kongs get in contact with a Cheesy Chester, they lose a heart point. The Kongs can defeat these enemies with a jump attack, with a roll attack, by throwing a barrel at them, or by charging into them with Rambi. In addition, Cheesy Chesters can be stunned momentarily with a Ground Pound, a state in which they sit down and rock back and forth dizzily.
Cheesy Chesters are enemies appearing in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. They are hunched rodents, resembling suburban rats, sporting vermilion-colored fur, indigo skin (given the curled tail and the clawed feet, which are of this color), a big and sensible violet snout, big ears, and small, villain eyes. A distinct feature of them is that, unlike usual rats, they do not appear to have long front teeth, but instead some sharp fangs emerging from beneath the snout. Their habitat is Autumn Heights, where they can be mostly encountered in cheese-cave themed areas; the Kongs can explore such areas through the levels Crumble Cavern and Rodent Ruckus. Cheesy Chesters seem to replace other rodent enemies from the past Donkey Kong Country games, such as Neeks and Sneeks.

A few Cheesy Chesters appear in the brief introduction cutscene of Windmill Hills, and each one does something different: one Cheesy Chester is chopping wood, another is holding out a stick with a few bananas to a Schnautzel, and a third one is simply facing the screen. In Rodent Ruckus, Cheesy Chesters are seen extracting cheese from ores using simple mechanisms made of ropes and beams.
Their name is a possible reference to the Cheshire cheese, which is called "Chester" in German.

Cheesy Chesters are antropomorphic animals, as they are capable of walking on their back feet, swinging their front feet in a very human manner. However, when they see a Kong, their behavior will change drastically and will start acting like actual rats. While attacking, they point themselves in the direction they are currently facing and use all of their feet to walk. Their tails curl in the attack position. The Kongs will lose a heart point if the enemies bump into them. A stomp on their backs will defeat them, as can rolling or charging into them with Rambi. Ground pounding near a Cheesy Chester will stun the enemy, making it sit down and rock back and forth crazily.

In Rodent Ruckus, the high intelligence of the Cheesy Chesters is yet again shown. Aside from their capability to walk bipedally, they are seen exploiting the mine and extracting the cheese from within the ores, using simple mechaninsms consisting of ropes and beams.
