| Players have one chance to pick a rope on a giant inflatable ring that has a [[Cheep Cheep]] on it. There are twice as many ropes as players, and half of the ropes have Cheep Cheeps on them, while the other ropes do not. The objective is to pick a rope. If it has a Cheep Cheep, the player is safe (and, as a result, wins)—otherwise, the player falls into the water and loses. If more than one player wins, they still each earn [[coin]]s (however, the minigame ends in a tie in the Duel version). If all players lose, the minigame ends in a tie. Although the minigame lets players choose a rope, this choice is actually an illusion, as whether each player will pull a Cheep Cheep or not is predetermined at the start of the minigame.
