'''Château Chanterelle''' is a location from ''[[Paper Mario: Color Splash]]''. The path leading here is unlocked after getting the yellow [[Mini Paint Star]] in [[Sunglow Ridge]], and unlocks paths leading to [[Mondo Woods]] and [[Marmalade Valley]]. [[Prof. Kinopio]] lives here with his pet [[Chain Chomp]], [[Princess (Paper Mario: Color Splash)|Princess]]. The spike for the door in [[Kiwano Temple]] is found here. The [[Battle_Card_(Paper_Mario:_Color_Splash)#Piggy Bank|Piggy Bank Thing card]] can be found here in the barn. The level's name is derived from {{wp|chanterelle}}, a type of mushroom.

==Layout==
After entering the area, a Toad shows Mario the professor's house, which has an orange Mini Paint Star on top. When Mario enters the house, another Toad explains that the professor has went for a walk in [[Mondo Woods]] with his pet [[Chain Chomp]], [[Princess (Paper Mario: Color Splash)|Princess]]. Exiting the house's back door, Mario can go north and enter a [[Warp Pipe]] that takes him to the orange Mini Paint Star.

To get the green Mini Paint Star, Mario must enter Princess's doghouse, which brings him underground. He can enter a Warp Pipe and go behind a barn. Opening the left barn door reveals the Piggy Bank Thing. Mario must align the lines on the doors so that they form a path he can [[Cutout]] to reach the Mini Paint Star.

After Mario has found the professor in Mondo Woods, he is found laying face-down near Princess's doghouse. He is upset about Princess still being lost, but gives Mario the [[Excavation Site Permit]] so he can search in Marmalade Valley.

Once Mario and Huey get the Bone Thing in Marmalade Valley. Mario must [[cutout]] two planks near Princess's doghouse and insert the Bone, which attracts Princess and causes her to jump on the professor. The professor cheers up and is glad that Princess returned to visit him, then gives Mario a [[Sharp Spike]] that he must use on a door at Kiwano Temple.

Later, after the [[Draggadon]] fossil is restored by the orange [[Big Paint Star]], Mario can revisit the professor to get information on it. The professor explains that the Draggadon was not fossilized but instead had its colors removed. He explains that Draggadons are known for nesting in volcanic areas, serving as a hint that Mario must visit [[Redpepper Volcano]].
