Castle of Illusions is the third level on the eastern side of the music box world in Wario Land 3. It is accessible after Wario collects both the Lantern (The Big Bridge's Blue Chest) and the Magical Flame (The Frigid Sea's Green Chest), revealing the true appearance of the mountains in the east side of the music box world.
Castle of Illusions is a location found in Wario Land 3. It is located in the east side of the Music Box World. It will be accessible after Wario collects both the Lantern of Truth (The Big Bridge) and the Flame of Truth (The Frigid Sea), which reveals the true appearance of the mountains in the east side of the Music Box World.

This level takes place in a castle, where there are two sides separated by an outside corridor that connects them. The corridor contains pillars that obscure the view due to it being on the foreground. Many switches are found in the castle, which are used to toggle the red blocks so that they are pushed in or out, where the latter causes them to be solid.
This level is a big, creepy castle haunted by zombies who will try to turn Wario into an undead. If they manage to, the blue torches' lights can turn him back to his old appearance.

Enemies
This castle also has red blocks that can be used as stairs. However, Wario must first activate switches to make them usable. The castle has several rooms, and almost each one of them has a treasure chest and a switch. There is also a Brrr Bear in the first area that Wario can use to break solid blocks.

Gray Chest: Super Jump Slam Overalls
The Super Jump Slam Overalls is a power-up in the Gray Chest. It is available as soon as the level is unlocked.

The Gray Key is high up and to the left. Zombies are on the platforms on the way to the key. To get there, Wario must first go to the door to the right, and then activate the switch past the Hebarii and exit. After that, he must go up the steps to the left and up, then go up the ladder to reach another room. In this room, he must throw the Para-Goom past the pillar that behaves like Enemy Blocks to reach the switch on the other side to deactivate. From outside the room, he must go to the right past the gaps to another room to activate the switch within. Outside this room, he must go right, up, and then right to the top right room to deactivate the switch within. After exiting the room, Wario must make his way to the left across the gaps to reach the Gray Key.
When Wario equips these overalls, his Ground Pound becomes the stronger Super Jump Slam (or Super Jump Smash), able to cause an earthquake that stuns enemies and destroy harder destructible blocks. This opens new possibilities for him in Sea Turtle Rocks, The West Crater, the Desert Ruins, and The Peaceful Village.

From the Gray Key, Wario must make his way back to the room on the ground. After that, he must break the blocks to the right with a Smash Attack and then use a Dash Attack to move the stove down a floor and then to the left, so that he can cross the wall and reach the Gray Chest.
Red Chest: Torch
The Super Jump Slam Overalls enhances Wario's Smash Attack to become the stronger Super Jump Slam (or Super Jump Smash). In addition to being able to destroy solid blocks and break through the damaged ones without stopping, he is also able to cause an earthquake that stuns most enemies. This opens the way for new treasures in Sea Turtle Rocks, The West Crater, Desert Ruins, and The Peaceful Village.

Red Chest: Torch
The Torch in the Red Chest requires both the Top Half of Sun Medallion from Sea Turtle Rocks' Green Chest and the Bottom Half of Sun Medallion from Desert Ruin's Blue Chest, so that daytime can occur in the East side of the world, thus the treasure can be collect in the daytime. Optionally, to collect it during nighttime, the Super Grab Gloves from The East Crater's Gray Chest is required.
The Torch in the Red Chest requires this level to be visited in daytime, which is only possible after restoring the Sun Medallion and clearing the darkness. Wario must repeat the switch puzzle until he reaches the top of the first area. He must then allow himself to get attacked by a zombie, and as Zombie Wario, he must jump down towards the Brrr Bear's area. Wario should fall through the platform, and the sunlight below will restore him to normal. Alternatively, Wario can wait until he gets the Glove with Superpower II from The East Crater. In this scenario, he has to simply make his way to the Brrr Bear and use him to break the Enemy Blocks below. In either case, Wario can then use the new path to go outside.

First, Wario must activate the switch in the room on the ground floor, go up to the room in the middle left to deactivate the switch, and then make his way to the door to the right. If Wario has obtained the Super Grab Gloves, he can jump to the right and then grab the Brrr Bear to break the Enemy Blocks to the right, after which he can drop in the pit to go to the right area; if Wario has not obtained said item, he must activate the switch in the room, go up to the room at the upper right to activate the switch, go to the first platform to the left to use the zombie to trigger Zombie Wario, and then fall to the right down to reach the sunlight to revert back to normal, then go to the area to the right. In this area outside the castle, Wario must make it to the platform behind the fifth pillar where there is a Togēba, though there are Para-Gooms on the way there. After that, he must go to the upper platform behind the sixth pillar to get the Red Key behind the pillar.
Here, Wario has to jump from a platform to another until he gets the Red Key. Then, he has to get back to the room containing a Para-Goom. He must use the enemy to break the solid walls blocking the way to the Red Chest.

From the Red Key, Wario must make his way back to the left inside the castle. After that, he must activate the switch in the ground floor room to go up to the room in the middle left. In that room, Wario must go up the ladder to break the blocks above the thin platform, and then bring the Para-Goom to throw it up there and then go up the ladder. After that, he must charge the throw of the Para-Goom to the left to break the pillar (treated as Enemy Blocks) to create an opening to reach the Red Chest by crawling through it.
The Torch burns the thorns blocking the way to the Forest of Fear, allowing Wario to access it. It also leads to a shortcut back to The Peaceful Village on the north side.

The Torch makes the Forest of Fear accessible after the obstructing thorns are burned by its fire. Opening access to this level also opens up a shortcut to the northern side of the world to reach The Peaceful Village.

The Gold Magic in the Green Chest requires the Super Grab Gloves from The East Crater's Gray Chest. This allows the Hammer-bots to be carried around and be thrown at Enemy Blocks.
The Gold Magic in the Green Chest requires the Glove with Superpower II from The East Crater. Wario must make his way to the Brrr Bear again and use it to break the Enemy Blocks and progress. Then, he has to jump from a platform to another until he reaches a new area. Here, he has to use the first Hammer-bot to break the Enemy Blocks and process. He will then notice another one trapped inside a series of red blocks. In order to use him, he has to enter the door found near him and activate the switch that makes the blocks disappear. Then, he has to let the Hammer-bot turn him into a Bouncy Wario. In this form, Wario has to make his way to the top and reach another area. The Green Key can be found here.

From the beginning, Wario must make his way to the area to the right outside the castle similar to the path taken to reach the Red Key, except this time he must go to the right to another area that is inside the castle. In the new area, the Hammer-bot must be used to get to the other side by throwing it to break the Enemy Blocks blocking the way, and then enter the door in between the torches. In this room, the switch is on the other side of the pillar. Wario can go down the ladder and crawl the narrow opening where a Spearhead is, then go up the ladder to the swtich. Alternatively, he can break parts of the pillar next to the switch to reach the other side. After activating the switch, Wario must exit the room to use the freed Hammer-bot to trigger Bouncy Wario, and then bounce up and to the left to the opening in the ceiling, while making sure not to touch the spikes around the middle of the ceiling. In the room above, the Green Key is reachable from the first thin platform.

After obtaining the Green Key, Wario must first descend to the area below, and then go all the way left back to the first castle interior. After that, he must jump and climb up to the room to the middle left to deactivate the switch, and then go inside the room to the right. The Green Chest is to the right of the door.

The Gold Magic opens up the entrance of the tree with a face in Out of the Woods after its glitter reaches the tree's nose, causing its mouth to open.
Wario has to get back to the first area and make his way to the Green Chest's room which can be accessed using one of the four doors found there. The Gold Magic opens the tree in Out of the Woods, revealing the way to the last music box.

The Rust Spray in the Blue Chest requires the Castle Brick from The West Crater, where they are used to bridge the gaps to make the doors across them accessible.
The Rust Spray in the Blue Chest requires the Castle Brick from The West Crater. Wario must make his way to the room where the Green Chest is. Now that the missing brick returned to its place, Wario can enter a new door. Here, Wario must use the Para-Goom to destroy the Enemy Blocks to the right. Then, he has to leave the room and hit the switch. Now, Wario must make his way to the Blue Chest room. He has to use the new path and enter a new door. Wario will find himself in another side of the Para-Goom room. Then, he has to use the owl to get past spikes and reach the Blue Key. Now, Wario has to get back to where the Blue Chest is and open it.

First, Wario must go to the area where the Green Chest is, through activating the switch in the ground floor room, then deactivating the switch in the middle left room. After that, he must enter the room and then climb up the ladder and through the narrow passageway to another door. Within this door, he must throw the Para-Goom found on the platform to break the Enemy Blocks to the right to go right, and then use it to break the Enemy Blocks above. After opening up the way, Wario must exit the room, activate the switch, exit the room, and then go up to the room in the top-right. Within this room where the Blue Chest is, Wario must go up the ladder and to the left through the door. Here, he must use the owl to go around the path where the Enemy Blocks are destroyed, and then navigate through a maze of spikes by following the first four torches above the other owl, and then go to the right and release the owl. The Blue Key is surrounded by damaged blocks, which can be obtained with a Smash Attack.
This treasure causes the iron walls in some levels to rust, so Wario can destroy them.

After acquiring the Blue Key, Wario can exit the room below it, cross the narrow passageway and go down from there, then go to the left to reach the Blue Chest.
