After the cannonball is thrown successfully, the 3ds can be moved up to send it downwards, or down to send it higher into the air, like an airplane. Similarly, moving the 3ds left will move it left, and vice versa. The player must now aim the cannonball so it comes down on top of or next to the enemies, with an Excellent rating being received if the cannonball lands on (and squashes) at least one of the enemies. | After the cannonball is thrown successfully, the 3ds can be moved up to send it downwards, or down to send it higher into the air, like an airplane. This attack appears in the Attackathon, where Mario throws his cannonball at a target, and Luigi has to steer it into the target. Luigi can grab balloons on his way, and grabbing one gives a +30% boost, grabbing two gives a +50% boost, and grabbing all three doubles the point values. However, he also has to avoid paper versions of Parabombs; colliding with a Parabomb will destroy the cannonball, ending the run. Wind may also blow, moving the cannonball around. Later rounds can involve moving targets | This attack appears in the Attackathon, where Mario throws his cannonball at a target, and Luigi has to steer it into the target.
