'''Candy Stores''' are stores found throughout the boards of ''[[Mario Party 8]]'', where players can purchase [[Candy (MP8)|Candies]]. Provided a player has at least five [[Coin]]s, they will be allowed to enter a Candy Store. Candy shops are always run by the local residents of the board; such as [[Pianta]]s in [[Goomba's Booty Boardwalk]], [[Koopa]]s in [[Koopa's Tycoon Town]], [[Red Boo]]s in [[King Boo's Haunted Hideaway]],  [[Shy Guy]]s in [[Shy Guy's Perplex Express]], [[Spear Guy]]s in [[DK's Treetop Temple]], and [[Toadie]]s in [[Bowser's Warped Orbit]].

Inside a Candy Store, the player is presented with three Candies to choose from (on a few rare occasions, two or even all three of the Candies are identical). Candies usually cost between five to twenty Coins, and are sold at fixed prices. However, every once in a while, a Candy Store will sell its Candies at a discounted price. Usually, [[Twice Candy]] is sold in ''Candy Store''. But on occasions, the shop will sell a variety of Candy such as [[Thrice Candy]], [[Duelo Candy]] and [[Bowlo Candy]]. However, the Candy Store does not include some types of Candy, depending on the board. When the game reaches the last turn, the candy store will be closed.
