'''Bumper Balls''' is a 4-Player [[minigame]] in ''[[Mario Party]]'', ''[[Mario Party 2]]'', ''[[Mario Party: The Top 100]]'', and ''[[Mario Party Superstars]]''. It is also part of the Showdown minigame [[Mario's Three-peat]] in ''[[Super Mario Party Jamboree]]''. Its name and gameplay are based on {{wp|bumper cars}}.

==Gameplay==
The objective of the minigame is to bump other players off a platform by utilizing personalized balls.

In ''Mario Party'', the minigame takes place on a plain grassy island in the middle of the ocean.

In ''Mario Party 2'', there are three levels for the players to compete in, and they each have different challenges.
* The first level takes place on a platform surrounded by [[lava]]. It is a basic level.
* The second level takes place on an icy mountain. In the middle is a [[Fly Guy]] frozen in ice. It can be very slippery on the mountain, so players must take care not to slide off.
* The third level is on a floating isle in the ocean. Characters bumped off are carried away by [[Blooper]]s. The isle contains rocks and bumps that can slightly change the player's speed when they roll over them.

In both ''Mario Party'' and ''Mario Party 2'', the last player standing wins. If one minute passes with two or more players remaining, or if the remaining players get eliminated, the minigame is a tie. On [[Mini-Game Island]] and in the [[Mini-Game Coaster]], the player must eliminate the three CPU players within one minute to win. If time runs out before the task is completed or if the player is eliminated at any time, it is a miss.

In the Mini-Game Coaster, the version of this minigame depends on the difficulty played: On Easy difficulty, the lava course is used. On Normal difficulty, the ice course is used. On Hard difficulty, the ocean course is used.

In ''Mario Party: The Top 100'', the lava course from the ''Mario Party 2'' version of Bumper Balls is used. The balls have more power than in ''Mario Party'' and ''Mario Party 2'', and the platform is smaller, significantly shortening the minigame's average length.

In ''Mario Party Superstars'', all three levels from ''Mario Party 2'' return. Additionally, the balls revert to their power from ''Mario Party'' and ''Mario Party 2''.

In the minigame Mario's Three-peat in ''Super Mario Party Jamboree'', a new, flat platform taking place in the sky is used, making the playfield identical to the ''Mario Party'' and lava course terrain. [[Mario]] is always placed in the center as the fifth player. After the minigame ends, all players use balloons to head up to the final minigame in the Showdown minigame, [[Shy Guy Says]].

In ''Mario Party'', the minigame can be purchased from the [[Mini-Game House]] for 250 [[coin]]s when it is available for purchase. In ''Mario Party 2'', the minigame can be purchased from [[Woody]] for 100 coins.
