A Buffaloafer's temper is similar to that of a bull. After spotting the [[Kong]]s, Buffaloafers try to attack them by ramming their large, crooked horns into the Kongs. Before that, they can be seen ruminating on patches of ground that host tall grass. Their anger is so unrestrained, that they can even crash into a wall in their pursue of the Kongs. Upon hitting the wall, Buffaloafers turn upside-down, leaving their bellies discovered and ready to get stomped on three times, which grants defeat for the animal. An instant defeat can be obtained if the player lures the creature off a ledge.
 
Nevertheless, Buffaloafers are massive and make use of a great strength. They can throw the Kongs up in the air if the latter try to land on their backs, and can cause damage with their enormous horns.
