A Bristles can be defeated from being rolled into from the front, because their quills harm the [[Kong]]s, much like [[Spiny (Donkey Kong Country 2)|Spinies]] in ''[[Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest]]''. Unlike Spinies, Bristles are unaffected by a [[team up]] throw, also damaging the Kong in the process.
