Break the Targets! (known as Target Test in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Target Smash!! in Super Smash Bros. Brawl) is  one of the bonus stages in the Super Smash Bros. series. Except in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, each character has a specially designed course; breaking all ten targets usually requires utilizing all or most of the characters' attacks. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the difficulty level determines which of the five stages are played. All characters can play on all five stages.

Rules
Break the Targets is a special stage in the Super Smash Bros. Series. The course usally involves the player utilizing every of the characters' attacks. Each character has his own stage.

The player has to break 10 targets. When the stage is played as a part of Single-Player Mode (in Super Smash Bros.) or Classic Mode (in Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl), there is a time limit of 2 minutes. When the stage is selected separately (Target Test), there is no given time limit. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Target Smash!! acts the same way, but this time, the stages are set outdoors, allowing for a better scenery. There are no longer personalized stages for each character. Additionally, Items can be found this time, allowing players to smash targets with increased ease. Another add-on is that players can now replay records of the Target Smash!, something that was not in the previous two games. One can even send a game record to another person via Wi-Fi Connection. Despite being renamed Target Smash! in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, the announcer still says "Break the Targets".

The levels designs are all different, and the objects in them fit each character. For instance, Ganondorf's level is a dungeon, and Donkey Kong's and Mario's resemble a construction site (from the game Donkey Kong). Various traps include Bumpers, Flippers, burning platforms, and spikes. However, in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, there are no unique level designs for each character and levels are based on one of the five difficulty options.
The player has to break 10 targets. When the stage is played as a part of Single-Player Mode (in Super Smash Bros.) or Classic Mode (in Super Smash Bros. Melee), there is a time limit of 2 minutes. When the stage is selected seperately (Target Test), there is no given time limit.
