The '''Brass Plaque''' is an item in the [[Mario is Missing! (PC)|PC]] and [[Mario is Missing! (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)|SNES versions of ''Mario is Missing!'']] It is the inscription facing the {{wp|Acropolis}} on [[Hadrian's Arch]]. It is stolen by some [[Koopa Troopa]]s when they invade [[Athens]]; this causes the arch to close down. The plaque is later retrieved by [[Luigi]] after he takes it from a Koopa Troopa walking around the city, and he then shows it to various Athenian citizens. They tell him various facts about Hadrian's Arch, such as how it separated Athens and Hadrianopolis (although in reality, no actual proof of two divided cities has been found<ref>{{cite|author=Taliaferro, Mary|title="Athens, Smyrna, and Italica." Eventually, Luigi gathers enough information that he is able to return the Plaque to the Arch's information booth, and is rewarded $1350.

The Brass Plaque is nonexistent in reality, with the inscriptions that the game depicts as being on the plaque actually being carved directly onto Hadrian's Arch.<ref>{{cite|author=Nefasdicere|title="J.
