| When Mario arrives on the first Airship, he will find several Electrogoombas on board the ship. Past the enemies is a cannon, which Mario can use to fire himself to the second airship. Here, the player should avoid several [[Sentry Beam]]s and a [[Magikoopa]], and make way to the next cannon, proceeding to the third Airship, avoiding some [[Bullet Bill]]s. However, at the first airship, by aiming towards the left, the player should be able to shoot to the third airship and grab the pull star, skipping the second airship. The third Airship marks a [[checkpoint]] and contains [[Wiggler]]s, a [[Mandibug]], [[Lumalee]] and [[Captain Toad]]. When Mario hits a switch on a platform, it will start to move. Once Mario avoids the [[Cannonball]]s fired from several unreachable galleon-class airships and makes it to the other side, the player will arrive at the fourth and final Airship. Here, Mario must battle Bowser Jr. and his flagship. If [[Bowser Jr.]] is hit with a [[Star Bit]] or [[Koopa Shell]] during the battle, he falls over and releases 20 Star Bits. | If Mario aims to the right on the first Airship's cannon, he will spot a tiny green planet with several Goombas on it. The planet is very bouncy, allowing Mario to easily squish the [[Goomba]]s. If he destroys them all, a [[1-Up Mushroom]] will appear. A sling star will take [[Mario]] to the second airship.

The purpose of the box is to stop the player from boarding Bowser Jr.'s ship, despite the fact that it is impossible to access normally.

| | The first airship has a [[Cannon]] on the stern, so the player will have to dodge or defeat the foes and Mario will have to jump in. The player will have to aim the cannon at the flagpole on the right to reach the next airship, blast into an extremely small planet with Goombas that has a [[Sling Star]] to bring him to the airship directly, or carefully aim at the leftmost flagpole to skip a few steps. After Mario battles way across the airships, Mario will reach a Luma Shop and a wooden platform docked against the last airship. Mario should jump on the platform, which begins to move, and the player will have to dodge the cannonballs and spiders to reach the final airship where Bowser Jr. waits. Bowser Jr. shoots fireballs from his airship at Mario, so Mario must jump on one of the [[Koopa Troopa]]s, grab its shell, and throw it at Bowser Jr's airship. The player will have to hit Bowser Jr.'s airship three times to make him turn and face Mario. The player will have to throw two more shells and Bowser Jr. will be defeated, and Mario will get a [[Grand Star]]. Each hit will cause more mayhem to erupt on Bowser Jr.'s airship, as he begins to fire [[Bullet Bill]]s with his ship and summon [[Magikoopa]]s. |
