| The opening shows a mechanism screwing a large [[bomb]] shaped like Bowser into place. The four players then arrive, lined up, and the switches show up.

| The minigame is luck-based. Players take turns to press either a red, a purple, a yellow, a green, or a white switch, hoping it does not result in the bomb exploding. If the nostrils on the bomb emit steam, the player is not disqualified, and they go to the back of the line. If the wrong switch is set off, the eyes on the bomb count down from three before exploding. If every player presses a switch that does not detonate the bomb, a different set of switches appears. Each time a player is disqualified, one less switch is available, going to as few as three. The last player left wins.
