While red, he is weak to magical attacks, and while blue, he is weak to physical attacks, though unless successfully affected by [[Princess Peach|Peach]]'s [[Mute (move)|Mute]] ability, he will immediately counter an attack of each respective weakness with the powerful [[Shaker]] attack.
