In Super Mario World, they are found only in the Donut Ghost House and Forest Ghost House. They are usually transparent, which is when they are harmless, but periodically will turn opaque, which is when they are dangerous, to dive at Mario. They are indestructible and can only be avoided by the player.
In Super Mario World, Boo Crews are found only in the Donut Ghost House and Forest Ghost House. The cloud of Boos is usually transparent, but individual Boos will turn opaque to dive at Mario or Luigi. They are harmless while transparent, but dangerous while diving. They are indestructible and can only be avoided by the player. Unlike normal Boos, the Boos in a Boo Crew cannot be spin jumped on.

These tiny ghosts will swoop at Yoshi very rarely, unless he throws an egg at one of the members of the group. Then, all of the Boos will stop in their tracks and swoop at Yoshi. It is impossible to defeat all of the Boos, as more will just appear from off-screen. If Yoshi eats a Heart Fruit and does a Ground Pound near them, they will turn into Lucky Fruit, much like Shy Guys do. Unlike their Super Mario World counterparts, they do not turn transparent and can be destroyed.

A Boo Crew reappears in the Enigmansion in Paper Mario: Sticker Star. They appear in a brief cutscene that plays upon visiting the kitchen area of the mansion, where they hover around the area above the table. When a Boo notices Mario, the entire Boo Crew disappears. Mario then has to find all the individual members of the crew.
