The Boneyard (Japanese: 裏の空き地 Vacant Land of the Back) is one of the few locations in Luigi's Mansion actually located outside of the mansion. It is cleared in Area Two.
LM mansion map
The Boneyard is one of the few locations of Luigi's Mansion located outside of it in the game of the same name. It is first accessed and cleared in Area Two.

The area has a doghouse in which Spooky sleeps inside of. When Luigi approaches Spooky, it starts barking and chases him around the Boneyard. A Mr. Bones gets irritated by the noise and rises out from the ground. Luigi must suck it inside of his Poltergust 3000 and afterward do the same to Spooky. After Luigi captures both of them, the Boneyard lights up.
After extinguishing the flames on the Kitchen side of the Boneyard with the Water Element, Luigi finds himself in a grassy lawn. A sleeping ghost dog is inside its doghouse in the northwestern corner of the room. The plumber decids to approach the little shack, which proves to be a mistake. The hungry guard dog, Spooky, chases Luigi throughout the Boneyard, threatening to crush him in his gaping maw, barking and growling all the while. Then, a Skeleton Ghost named Mr. Bones arrives, complaining about the noise. Luigi quickly sucks up Mr. Bones, leaving a bone planted in the dirt. Spooky, unable to resist, starts licking the bone, which reveals his heart. Luigi then turns on the Poltergust 3000 and vacuums up the ghost. When Spooky is captured, the Boneyard brightens.

There are sparkles inside of Spooky's doghouse. If Luigi investigates them with his Game Boy Horror, it summons a small gust of wind, which, if Luigi walks toward, sucks him into the Graveyard.
Luigi notices some sparkles inside Spooky's doghouse, and decides to investigate with his Game Boy Horror. The result is the plumber being sucked in and deposited inside the Graveyard.

The Boneyard also has a patch of dirt with a large bean in it. If Luigi waters it, the bean sprouts into a small plant. After Luigi captures Bogmire, the bean grows and produces a bud. If Luigi waters it again, the bud grows and blooms into a gigantic flower. When he defeats Boolossus, the flower becomes a seed pod. Luigi may then water it a final time to make it open, revealing the rare Gold Diamond. With it are 2 Gold Bars, 20 Bills, and 30 Coins. If Luigi does not water the flower after defeating either boss, the plant withers and dies.
The only items of interest in the Boneyard are Spooky's doghouse, a spigot, and a small bean-like plant buried in dirt on the eastern side.

Three Temper Terrors are in the Boneyard during the mansion blackout.
There is something very peculiar about this bean. If Luigi waters it when he first sees it, it will sprout into a small plant. After he captures Bogmire, it will grow some more and produce a bud. If Luigi waters it again, the bud will grow and bloom into a gigantic flower. When he defeats Boolossus, the flower will become a seed pod. Luigi then may water it a third and final time to make it open, revealing the rare Golden Diamond. Along with it are 2 Gold Bars, 20 Bills, and 30 Coins. If Luigi doesn't water it after defeating a boss, the plant will whither and die.
