|log=A souped-up Bullet Bill. It'll hit you hard if you don't take it out first. Its HP is low, so do it quickly!
|tattle=That's a Bombshell Bill. B. Bill Blasters shoot these things repeatedly. Max HP is 3, Attack is 6, and Defense is 2. Its Attack is high, but its HP is low, so take it out before it takes YOU out! Then again, if you focus on these guys, you'll never win. Smack that B. Bill Blaster!

Bombshell Bills are the golden relatives of the Bullet Bill. Bombshell Bills are much stronger than Bullet Bills, and are positioned so as to guard extremely important areas, such as Bowser's Castle and the Palace of Shadow. However, they are instantly killed when they attack like a regular Bullet Bill even if they miss or are Superguarded. Bombshell Bills are fired by Bombshell Bill Blasters. Bombshell Bills appear in Paper Mario and Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
History
Paper Mario
In Paper Mario, Bombshell Bills appear in Bowser's Castle and are a dark yellow. They have low health but high attack power and are spawned once per turn by each B. Bill Blaster present. While strong, they are highly susceptible to status effects such as Dizzy and shrink, as well as moves such as Air Lift and Hurricane that can remove them from battle immediately. Like the game's normal Bullet Bills, they are instantly defeated after they attack, even if they miss or are guarded against.

Bombshell Bill's Tattle states that their explosions get bigger as their HP gets lower, which implies they do more damage the less HP they have, even though this is not the case.
Like a Bullet Bill touching a Bombshell Bill outside battle will cause Mario to get hit by the First Strike.

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door
In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, the attacks Blazer (used by Blaster and Big Bertha) and Magnum (used exclusively by Smithy in his tank form) involve the firing of a golden Bullet Bill similar in appearance to Bombshell Bills.
In Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door and its Nintendo Switch remake, Bombshell Bills appear in the Palace of Shadow and are a much brighter yellow. They are still highly susceptible to being removed from battle, this time using Flurrie's Gale Force, as well as several status effects, but they now have higher defense. Superguarding can now also be used to defeat them instantly when they attack.

Profiles and statistics
A gold-colored Bullet Bill appeared in Super Mario Sunshine; however it is not necessarily related to the Bombshell Bills in the Paper Mario games. This type was identical to normal Bullet Bills, except for the fact that it left eight coins when defeated instead of two, and the great amount of damage they cause.

Trivia
*Unused sprites for a similar golden Bullet Bill are present in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. Its Bill Blaster would have been raised compared to its normal variant and have a longer attack charge animation.
