In ''[[Paper Mario]]'', Bombshell Bills appear in [[Bowser's Castle]] and are a dark yellow. They have low health but high attack power and are spawned once per turn by each [[Bombshell Bill Blaster|B. Bill Blaster]] present. While strong, they are highly susceptible to status effects such as [[Dizzy]] and [[Tiny (status effect)|shrink]], as well as moves such as [[Air Lift]] and [[Hurricane]] that can remove them from battle immediately. Like the game's normal Bullet Bills, they are instantly defeated after they attack, even if they miss or are guarded against.


Bombshell Bill's [[Tattle]] states that their explosions get bigger as their HP gets lower, which implies they do more damage the less HP they have, even though this is not the case.
A gold-colored Bullet Bill appeared in ''[[Super Mario Sunshine]]''; however it is not necessarily related to the Bombshell Bills in the ''Paper Mario'' games. This type was identical to normal Bullet Bills, except for the fact that it left eight [[coin]]s when defeated instead of two.

They are still highly susceptible to being removed from battle, this time using [[Flurrie]]'s [[Gale Force]], as well as several status effects, but they now have higher defense. [[Superguard]]ing can now also be used to defeat them instantly when they attack.
