First appearance Mario's Early Years! Preschool Fun (1993)

Body World is a location in Mario's Early Years! Preschool Fun. It is one of the six islands in the game and is represented by a paper doll facsimile of the human body.

Unlike other worlds, there is no traditional learning activity and as such, the room is more suited to discovery. Mario stands outside in a grassy plain with mountains in the background. Here these items can be selected:

  • Mario's Hat (corresponds to his hair. Mario's hat levitates as he touches it.)
  • Mario's Left eye (viewed as his right eye to the player. Mario winks his eye.)
  • Mario's Nose (Mario's nose vibrates. He wrinkles his nose in the MS-DOS version.)
  • Mario's Left Cheek (right cheek from the player's perspective. Mario pinches his cheek. He blushes in the MS-DOS version.)
  • Mario's Chin (Mario points at his chin with his right hand.)
  • Mario's Left Elbow (Mario waves with his left arm (Again, right arm from the player's perspective. Unavailable in the MS-DOS version.)
  • Mario's Right Wrist (Mario waves his hand. (Again, left wrist from the player's perspective.)
  • Mario's Right Thumb (Mario snaps his fingers. (Again, left thumb from the player's perspective.)
  • Mario's Left Thumb (Mario claps his hands. (Again, right thumb from the player's perspective.)
  • Mario's Right Leg. (Mario stretches his leg out. (Again, left leg from the player's perspective.)
  • Mario's Right Foot. (Mario stomps his foot. (Again, left foot from the player's perspective.)

In the MS-DOS version of the game, additional body parts can be selected:

  • Mario's Ears (Mario's ears wiggle)
  • Mario's Shoulders (Mario raises his shoulders)
  • Mario's Chest (Mario touches his chest)
  • Mario's Belly (Mario expands his belly)
  • Mario's Left Leg (Mario jumps, right from the player's perspective)
  • Mario's Right Ankle (Mario twists his right ankle, left from the player's perspective)
  • Mario's Right Toes (Mario takes his right foot out and wiggles his toes, left from the player's perspective)

Additionally, outside of Mario's body, the following items can be interacted with:

  • The monkey with the blue cap (waves)
  • The monkey with the fez (Also waves)
  • The sun (raises and lowers his eyebrows.)
