The amount of points earned from matching blocks equals the number cleared at once multiplied by the current level number, and a chain reaction also multiplies the position of the chain. Each level has a gauge, with the leftmost and rightmost columns closing after the first tier, then two more columns after the second tier, and two more columns once the gauge is full, leaving only the middle three columns open; by leveling up, the gauge resets, and the affected columns are reopened.
