The Birabuto Kingdom is an area in Sarasaland and the first world in Super Mario Land. The land is a large desert based on ancient Egypt. There are pyramids in the background and hieroglyph carvings in the cave levels. One of the enemies of this land are the stationary sphinxes called Gaos. The boss of the Birabuto Kingdom is a large Gao named King Totomesu, who jumps up and down spitting fire. Common enemies found here include Chibibos, Nokobons, Kumos, Flies, Bunbuns, Pakkun Flowers, and Gaos.

{{content description
* In the American Super Mario Land commercial (which humorously parodies cheesy black-and-white films), the caption "challenge the mysteries and terrors of Ancient Egypt" was given to a Birabuto Kingdom stage, Egypt strangely being a Real World location.
