He inhabits all of the [[Mario_Party 3#Duel Boards|Duel Board]]s and doles out coins to the players skilled enough to deserve them. Whenever a player passes Belltop, it will start counting down from five to zero. Every time the players passes it, the numbers will decrease to a lower number. Once Belltop's hat reaches zero, it will bang its head with drum sticks and blow the whistle to signify the beginning of a duel mini-game. Once the duel mini-game is complete, its head will return to five. He always carries a whistle in his mouth and blows it to stir up attentiveness.
