Belcha | Belcha (referred to as Belcher in a preview) is a giant animate barrel and the first boss of Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! It appears at the end of Lake Orangatanga in the boss level, Belcha's Barn. Belcha has a large set of wooden teeth and large, red veins in its eyes.
Belcha is one of the only two bosses to not reappear in Donkey Kong Land III, the other one being Squirt.
==Description== | |||
| |||
In Belcha's Barn, Belcha's height nearly goes from the floor to ceiling, thus preventing the Kongs from passing it. Its attack pattern is spitting out a barrel at Dixie and Kiddy Kong, and then jumping forward, chattering its teeth a couple of times, and then spits out another barrel. Every barrel that Belcha spits out has a yellow Knik-Knak, and the lead Kong can attack Belcha by throwing it into its mouth. This causes Belcha to burp (hence the name), propelling itself backward. By doing this a number of times (minimum being two Knik-Knaks if the Kongs are quick enough), the Kongs can send Belcha into a pit on the other end, thus defeating it. As Belcha jumps forward, it slowly pushes the Kongs toward a pit on the left.
In the Game Boy Advance port, Cranky Kong visits the Kongs after they defeat Belcha, whom he says would make good firewood.
One of the secret caves is named "Belcha's Burrow". Despite having Belcha's name, this secret cave is located a considerable distance away from Lake Orangatanga and can only be accessed by the Gyrocopter very late in the game. | One of the secret caves is named "Belcha's Burrow".
