They are found in the level Honeybees only. Each of the eight holes in a wall has a different Beebee, the next of which comes out after defeating the previous. Beebees home in on Mario to attack, but a stomp can defeat them. After defeating all eight Beebees or just one from either a spin jump or invincibility, no more Beebees appear. Beebees also have a skeletal counterpart named Skeleton Bees and a heavier one named Bigbee.

| | A Bee'zerk is a berserk bee enemy from the Tree Zone in the game Super Mario Land 2. When Mario entered their beehive home, the bees would attack the intruder by slowly homing in on him and attempting to sting them. Strangely, Bee'zerks never attack vertically, only horizontally. A good jump on the head or a fireball attack are enough to finish it off. Bee Larvae and Grubbies are apparently young Bee'zerks and Fat Bees are older Bee'zerks. There are also an undead version called Skeleton Bees. They slightly resemble Zingers, a bee species from the Donkey Kong series. Their sprite appears to have been recycled from another game, Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters, where it was called a Busy Bee, flew more quickly, and would often circle its target to intimidate it. |
