| Beanerang Bros. (originally known as Boomerang Bros.) are enemies that appear in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga and Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions. Their name comes from a pun on "boomerang" and "bean." They inhabit Gwarhar Lagoon, and only appear in battle alongside enemies such as Sand Cheeps, Sharkbones, Elite Gritty Goombas, and Elite Troopeas.
| | Boomerang Bros. are enemies found in the Beanbean Kingdom in the game Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. They are extremely tall and thin, wear sunglasses, and have sprouts growing from their heads. Like Troopeas are to Koopa Troopas, this species is the Beanbean Kingdom equivalent of normal Boomerang Bros., with which they share a name in some languages (although Italian and French are both different). |
|
| |
|
| Unlike normal Boomerang Bros., they are extremely tall and thin, wear sunglasses and white gloves, and have bean sprouts growing from their heads or helmets. Their relationship with their namesake appears to be similar to Troopeas and Koopa Troopas or Lakipeas and Lakitus; however, they share their name in the English and Japanese scripts of the original game. In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, they are renamed to "Beanerang Bros."; their designs are relatively unchanged, but they now have proportionally larger shells and wear shoes.
| | In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, they only inhabit the Gwarhar Lagoon. In battle, Boomerang Bros. throw brown boomerangs, which Mario and Luigi could dodge with jumps. If the boomerang is dodged on its first pass, it circles around offscreen and Mario or Luigi has to jump over it again as it returns to the Boomerang Bro. that threw it. |
| | |
| Beanerang Bros. appear in Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser alongside their normal counterparts. Like the Koopa Troop's Boomerang Bros., Beanerang Bros. are ranged troopers, attacking by throwing their boomerangs at enemies. Their special skill, Piercing Projectile, allows them to throw a boomerang at a targeted minion, damaging every minion in its path, along with damaging the targeted minion as it comes back. They are strong against Goomba Towers and Pokeys.

| ==Battle==
| |
| Beanerang Bros. throw brown, pink-striped boomerangs at Mario and Luigi, which can be dodged with jumps. Before throwing, their sunglasses will twinkle; if the right side of the glasses twinkle, the enemy will attack Mario, and if the left side twinkles, it will target Luigi. Sometimes a Beanerang Bro will throw its boomerang directly at Mario or Luigi, which will occasionally attempt to hit the opposite brother on its way back to the owner. At other times, however, a Beanerang Bro will throw its boomerang off-screen; when this happens, the boomerang will arc its way behind Mario or Luigi on the way back, trying to hit them before returning. Both attacks can trip the Mario Bros. should it hit them. Beanerang Bros. can also throw their boomerang at the Bros. in a more vertical arc, which must be repelled with the hammer.
| |
| | |
| In the international version of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, the Beanerang Bros are healed by fire-based attacks, but in the Japanese version as well as Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, they take damage from it instead.
| |
| | |
| They are capable of dropping Oho Gear in Japanese versions of Superstar Saga; this item was unused in international versions, though fully functional coding for the drop can be found. In the remake, they can drop Oho Gear in all versions.
