DX Beans also return. The Bad Nabbit mission gives the player these beans after each battle with Nabbit, and the Paper Broozers' barrel-throwing attack may sometimes cause one or more of these beans to appear when countered. | DX Beans also return. Exclusive to the Minion Quest: The Search for Bowser side-mode of Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions are two unique kinds of beans that can be obtained either as rewards for completing certain levels, or by completing certain Challenges. One kind of beans, the EXP beans, automatically increment the EXP of Captains and Allies. There are three EXP beans that correlate to the three types of troopers; Melee, Ranged, and Flying. If the type of bean does not match the type of trooper, the EXP gained is halved. In addition, there are Super Beans, which grant more EXP and can be used freely by any kind of unit. EXP beans come in four sizes, which give more EXP the larger the size. Melee, Ranged, and Flying EXP Beans give 10, 100, 1,000, and 3,000 EXP respectively depending on size, whereas Super EXP Beans give 30, 300, 2,000, and 5,000 EXP based on size. The other kind of beans directly permanently increase the stats of a unit by 1; these beans do not come in additional sizes. | |||
