The game pits two teams of two against each other in a beach volleyball match. There are different types of volleyballs for the players to use:
Beach Volleyball is a variation of [[Beach Volley Folley]] from ''[[Mario Party 4]]'' hosted by [[Mamar]]. It is a volleyball match with two players on each side. However, besides the "Normal Ball," a regular volleyball, the player can choose one of two balls instead. The [[Bob-omb]] Ball begins at 10 and subtracts a number from the serve and each hit afterward, before exploding upon reaching zero and giving the opposing side a point. There is also the Dice Ball, which awards between one to six points to a side, depending on the side shown when it hits the ground. Depending on the settings, each team tries to win 10 to 20 points, and the team that accomplishes this wins.
