The '''Battle Ring''' is an area in [[Pi'illo Castle]] that [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] can access in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Dream Team]]''. The area serves the same purpose as [[The Gauntlet]] in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story]]'', in that Mario and Luigi face tougher versions of bosses already battled. 

The Battle Ring is divided into Battle and Giant Battle, each with their own parameters. It is further divided into classes. Each class, except for the last one, is for fighting a single boss encounter. The base rules of the Ring are the same between Battle and Giant Battle: Beat the boss before the specified number of turns elapse. A turn is defined by all involved characters getting a chance to attack. If all turns are used, the battle immediately ends in a loss for the player, via menu text. The game tracks the lowest number of turns used per class.

Each class is only unlocked after the corresponding boss has been defeated in the main game. Additionally, if the player has not cleared the class yet, they have to pay a varying number of Coins in order to participate. These costs get higher for each later class. Winning a class for the first time earns the player a trophy based on the defeated boss, which displayed as part of the menu. That first clear also rewards a sizable sum of coins, dependent on the class.

The final class in both Battle and Giant Battle is a Medley of every boss in that menu of the Battle Ring. Unlocking it requires winning in every prior class of the menu. Each battle proceeds one after the other, with no break except for the animations. The Bros.'s [[HP]] carries over between fights, as well as [[Bros. Point|BP]] for the Battle Medley in Battle. The turn counter is for the entire class. If the player defeats a boss before they get a chance to attack, that still counts as one turn.

This mode saves automatically after every win and record update. This only saves Battle Ring data, so data for the main game must be saved separately.

==Battle==
In this mode, the player fights the game's bosses, both of the real world and Dream World variety. Mario and Luigi start each class with full HP and BP, regardless of their main game status. Similarly, the [[Badge|Badge Meter]]'s progress is reset to 0 and the stock is cleared, though both are restored after leaving the Battle Ring. Each class has a specified inventory; only those items are available during the battle.

Before each battle, the player can view the rules and change [[Badges]]. However, changing Badges here does reset the main game's Badge Meter.

In the Battle Medley, if one brother ends a battle while KO'd, they recover 1 HP between battles. The final battle is against an exclusive boss.

==Giant Battle==
In this mode, the player fights the game's giant bosses. Before each battle, the player can view the rules. As these are Giant Battles, after selecting a class, the player is prompted to rotate their 3DS, then confirm starting the battle. After that battle concludes, the player rotates the 3DS to normal and then confirms before seeing the results. 

In [[Hard Mode]], some of the classes have reduced turn limits compared to the same class outside of Hard Mode.

Giant Luigi is unable to use [[Rhythm Mushroom]] in these battles. In addition, the [[Robo-Drilldigger X]] battle does not allow the player to use [[Drill Stomp]] and [[Hammer Uppercut]], even if these abilities have been gained through the [[Mount Pajamaja (boss)|Mount Pajamaja]] boss battle.

Some of the tutorial dialogue is removed from these battles. The introductory and concluding cutscenes for each battle can be skipped using a "Skip Demo" button. Some other cutscenes can be skipped, such as the intro animation for [[Star Driver]].

*Strangely, despite this area being a [[Dreampoint]], [[Prince Dreambert]] has his full body during the explanation of the Battle Ring.
*It is possible to have the trophy for an inaccessible boss. To do so, the player must defeat the normal version of the boss (unlocking the Battle Ring version), then defeat the X boss without saving. After the battle results are saved, the player must reset the game and go back to the Battle Ring. The trophy for the boss is viewable, but the boss is not unlocked yet.
