Banana Punch is a Donkey Kong minigame in Mario Party 5. Its name is a pun on "Banana Bunch."

Banana Punch has the same setting as the other two Donkey Kong minigames, in a jungle with a tree house and a circus tent resembling Swanky's Sideshow in the background. During gameplay, Donkey Kong hangs from a vine and swings above the player characters while eating bananas.
The object of this mini-game is to collect as many bananas as possible by breaking the most barrels before the time limit (10 seconds) or before there are no more barrels. In order to do this, the player must punch the barrels. Inside each barrel is either a single banana, worth one point, or a large banana, worth 5 points.

Gameplay
This mini-game takes place in the same as all other DK mini-games, which is a jungle of sorts with a treetop house in the background. Unlike the other two DK mini-games, in this one Donkey Kong appears hanging from a vine, which swings just above the characters, eating bananas.
The objective is for players to collect as many bananas within ten seconds by punching the most barrels. The barrels contain either a single banana worth one point, a large banana worth five points, or nothing. The minigame ends early if players break every barrel.
