Limbo Guys are a species of Spear Guys that prefer to always play limbo with anyone who passes by. They live only on a small island near Yoshi's Island. While Dancing Spear Guys jump around, the invincible Limbo Guy come in color-coded pairs and dance with limbo sticks. They attack Yoshi by simply dancing around while trying to trip the Yoshi with their stick, and Yoshi must jump over them.

Their sticks can trip Yoshis and lower their happiness, so they must be jumped over to avoid damage. During gameplay, one dancer is in the foreground while the other is in the background, making them invincible. Bamboo dancers appear as enemies only in Shy Guy Limbo in Yoshi's Story. The artwork and sprites for bamboo dancers appear quite differently, as the sprites appear to be wearing yellow face paint and grass skirts in the same manner as Spear Guys, while the artwork depicts one with an unpainted mask and a much less leafy skirt. In addition, their shoes are green in the artwork instead of blue.

In Mario Party Advance, a female bamboo dancer named Hulu appears as a character; however, she more closely resembles a Dancing Spear Guy.
