| The players are both at a badminton net. The minigame itself is basically a variation of the real-world sport {{wp|badminton}}. There are two types of shots the players can take—a smash and a drop shot. If the player manages to subdue the birdie on the opponent's side inside the lines, the player gets a [[point]]. If the player subdues the birdie outside the lines, the player's opponent gets a point. The first player to get 21 points (7, 14, or 21 points in ''Mario Party: The Top 100'') before their opponent wins. There is also a doubles mode that four players can play, although in ''Mario Party 10'', it always restricts teams to {{color|blue|P1}} and {{color|red|P2}} versus {{color|green|P3}} and {{color|gold|P4}}, meaning that in two player mode, both players must be on the same team. | | The players are both at a badminton net.
