'''Badminton - Doubles''' is an [[Event]] that appears exclusively in the [[Wii]] version of ''[[Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games (Wii)|Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games]]''. It is set in the "London Sports Arena", or {{wp|Wembley Arena}}.{{ref needed}} The objective of the event is to get the most points and get a set amount of points. This can be 5, 9, 15, or 21, depending on what the player chooses before starting. The player can also set the best out of number game(s) to either 1 or 3 here too. [[Dr. Eggman]] and [[Metal Sonic]] can be seen taking part in this event during the opening. While it shown who they are playing against, a scene shows that they are competing against [[Mario]] and [[Princess Peach|Peach]].

During [[London Party]] mode, when the player faces off [[Birdo]] for the second time, they compete in this sport.

==Gameplay==
The event starts out with a chart of who the player is playing against, as well as another two competing. This chart is shown again after winning the first round (but not if it was lost) except with the winner of the other two in the center. After choosing positions for the characters, the announcer announces the teams. Then the team on the left serves for the start of the first and third game and the team on the right serves for the second game. Otherwise the that scored serves. To serve, the player must swing the Wii Remote or wait until it does it automatically. To swing, the player needs to swing the Wii Remote. If the player holds {{Button|Wii|B}} while doing this, it goes near the net, but still on the other side. If the player is late, however, the shuttlecock goes high into the air and falls down slowly. When this happens, the shuttlecock is launched with huge power. Eventually, the shuttlecock becomes red. When this happens and the player is late, the other team gets a chance to do a Special Shot. But if the shuttlecock is near the ground, it becomes less powerful, but still powerful than a normal shot. If the shuttlecock lands on a side, the other side gets a point. If the shuttlecock hits a player, the other team gets a point as well. This can happen even if the person who shot it was on the same team as the character that got hit. Points continue until one team gets the set number of points. However, if both teams have at least the set number of points minus one, it will be called a deuce. When this happens, one team must get two points to win. But, after enough deuces (e.g. 8 points for 5 points), it becomes game or match point for both. If there are multiple rounds, it goes to the second round after the first round, and the third round if both teams have won a game. After a match, the announcer announces the winner or how the player did.

The Ace Attacker challenge is achieved by scoring a point with a Special Shot a number of times in this event. The criteria for unlocking each achievement are as follows:

*Lv. 2- Score 10 points with Special Shots
*Lv. 3- Score 15 points with Special Shots
