Its appearance is based on a {{wp|Formula One car}} likely from between the mid-1980s and mid-1990s ([[Mario]]'s color scheme in particular resembling the 1988 {{wp|McLaren MP4/4}}), and it is the successor of the [[B Dasher]] from ''[[Mario Kart DS]]''. The emblem is located on both sides of the spoiler and the hood. The [[Circuit Special]] from ''[[Mario Kart 8]]'' greatly resembles the B Dasher Mk. 2, and its Dutch name, Sprinter 2.0, implies that it is a successor to both this kart and the original B Dasher, which is called Sprinter in Dutch.

The B Dasher Mk. 2 returns in ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'' under its current American English name. It is a tour-exclusive High-End kart debuting in the [[Mario Tour (2021)|2021 Mario Tour]] as the signature kart of [[Mario|Mario (Racing)]]; it later became the signature kart of Mario (Golf) during the [[Piranha Plant Tour]]. Unlike before, it is only equipped with Mario's color scheme no matter which driver is using it. The B Dasher Mk. 2 retains its original tires, although they now have the ''Mario Kart'' logo on them. It increases the duration of [[Dash Panel]] speed boosts and the number of points earned for using Dash Panels.
 
This is the only kart in ''Mario Kart Tour'' to use the original British English name in its English version as opposed to the original American English name.

*The name "B Dasher" is most likely a reference to the controls of the side-scrolling NES and Game Boy games - the player presses and holds the B button to dash. The "Mk. 2" is a reference to [[B Dasher|Mario's ''DS'' Kart]].
**The assumption that this is an improved version of Mario's B Dasher is supported by the fact that the B Dasher Mk. 2 resembles a modern [[Wikipedia:Formula_One_car|Formula]], whereas the B Dasher resembles an older type of Formula used between 1960 and 1980.
