The '''Autumn Tour''' is the fifty-fourth tour of ''[[Mario Kart Tour]]'', which began on October 6, 2021, and will end on October 19, 2021. The tour introduces various Tanooki-themed items, such as marking the return of [[Tanooki Mario]] as a playable character and introducing [[Rosalina]]'s Tanooki form as a playable variant, which makes this tour the first to introduce two new High-End characters since the [[Ninja Tour]] thirteen tours prior. Due to the former's reappearance, as of this tour, all playable characters from ''[[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe]]'', except for [[Mii]]s and non-''Mario'' characters, are present in the game. The tour's signature course is [[Wii Maple Treeway]], and similarly to the last tour that featured this track as its signature course, the [[Halloween Tour (2020)|2020 Halloween Tour]], there are [[Jack-o'-lantern]]s scattered across every course except [[GBA Sunset Wilds]], [[3DS Rosalina's Ice World]], [[3DS Rainbow Road]], their variants, and [[SNES Donut Plains 2|SNES Donut Plains 2R/T]]. While this tour does not introduce any new courses, it introduces the R/T variants of [[SNES Choco Island 1]] and Wii Maple Treeway. This is also the first tour since the [[Los Angeles Tour (2021)|2021 Los Angeles Tour]] to introduce similar-looking gliders, being the [[Tanooki Parafoil]] and the [[Gold Tanooki Parafoil]]. Starting from this tour onwards, trailers for tours are no longer released on the tour's start date but rather on the tour's announcement date. In this tour, the Coins Aplenty event gave out 500 [[coin]]s instead of 300 coins.

The Autumn Celebration event began in this tour which, similarly to the Summertime Celebration event held from the [[Summer Tour]] to the [[Mario vs. Peach Tour]], will feature new [[List of challenge cards in Mario Kart Tour#Autumn Challenges|unique challenges]], as well as upgraded rewards in the [[#Challenges|Total Points Challenge]]. The event will last for three consecutive tours<!--, ending in the [[ Tour]]-->.

This tour's [[Coin Rush (Mario Kart Tour)|Coin Rush]] course is [[GCN Dino Dino Jungle]], which is reused from the [[Hammer Bro Tour]]. The menu's background features the large tree from Wii Maple Treeway as the landmark of this tour, which was reused from the [[Halloween Tour (2020)|2020 Halloween Tour]].

This is the last tour to feature the sixth set of [[List of challenge cards in Mario Kart Tour#Expert Challenges|Expert Challenges]], which started in the [[Mario vs. Peach Tour]].

==Today's Challenge==
Players' karts, gliders and opponents are chosen or arranged randomly. On day 1 of this tour, players finish a race in [[RMX Choco Island 1]] in the [[Roy Cup]] using [[Roy Koopa|Roy]] for a free pipe launch. Starting from day 2, players have to finish a race in the earliest uncleared course that is not in any of the ranked cups using the driver shown on the course's thumbnail every day to obtain the corresponding reward in the table below.
