Upon entering for the first time, a little cutscene will start where [[Luigi]] will spot the eight floor's elevator button lying on a pedestal in the middle of the room. When Luigi walks up to it and interacts with it, another cutscene will start where a floating watering-can starts to water a little plant. Luigi gets scared and drops the elevator button onto the plant. Then, Dr. Potter will reveal himself and water the plant even more, causing the plant to grow all the way to the top of the Atrium.

The Atrium is a huge room that has stairs and walkways on the edges of the room with the huge plant in the middle. The room rises all the way to the top of the Garden Suites. Along the way up, Luigi will encounter different obstacles like tumbling pineapples, and blocked pathways. He will need to get passed all of these to get to the top where the eight floor's elevator button is located. Once at the top, Luigi and [[Gooigi]] will need to stand on either side of the plant and pull on it using the [[Suction Shot]]. Once doing so, the elevator button will pop out and fall all the way down. Once Luigi gets down, the boss fight with Dr. Potter starts. Once Dr. Potter is defeated, the elevator button will land on a leaf above Luigi. Luigi will need to water a plant underneath that leaf, and then climb up the newly grown plant to get the elevator button.
