| A special type of arrow wheel with two arrows pointing in opposite directions appears solely in [[Lake Shore Paradise]] from ''Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island'' and [[Mystery of the Castle?]] from ''Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3''. These ones move only up and down or left and right, depending on where the arrows point. At first, they move only around a small area, but they begin moving to the edges of the room when a Yoshi boards them. Hitting them with an [[Yoshi's Egg|egg]] changes their direction by 90°.
