'''Anuboos''' are enemies that appear in ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga]]'' and its remake, ''[[Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions]]''. They are found in [[Teehee Valley]] after [[Mario]] and [[Luigi]] first visit [[Little Fungitown]]. Their name is a combination of [[wikipedia:Anubis|Anubis]], a {{wp|jackal}}-headed Egyptian god whom they bear some resemblance to, and "boo."

Anuboos are shadowy, jackal-like enemies that wear headdresses and are completely pitch-black, except for their bright red eyes. In the overworld, they replace the [[Gritty Goomba]]s previously found in Teehee Valley, except for the ones living in the underground ruins. Anuboos will teleport away and shoot small, pink laser beams at the Mario Bros. before teleporting to another spot.

==Battle==
Anuboos will teleport in front of the Mario Bros. and take the shape of their target for a brief moment before returning to normal. Their eyes will glint as they fire a laser beam at the brother they transformed into. The attack can be dodged by [[jump]]ing. [[Firebrand]] and [[Thunderhand]] attacks will heal them.
