The players start on solid ground where they can see swaying ruins in front of them, where a Shoomp is. A floating door is on the right side of the room, and the players must stand on the Shoomp to be able to access the door, which will lead them to the second room. This room has two Mumsies and a Shoomp on more swaying ruins. There are also semisolid platforms the players can use to traverse the area. The far right of the room has another door, which will lead the players to the third area. This area has three more Shoomp on more swaying ruins, one of which being a Big Shoomp that slides along a spiked floor. At the right of this area is a door that leads the players to a room where the first Checkpoint Flag is. The right side of this area has another door leading to the next area.
The players start on solid ground where they can see swaying blocks in front of them, where a Shoomp is. This room has two Mumsies and a Shoomp on more swaying blocks. There are also semisolid platforms the players can use to traverse the area. The far right of the room has another door, which will lead the players to the third area. This area has three more Shoomp on more swaying blocks, with two of them being short. The third Shoomp is on top of spikes. At the right of this area is a door that leads the players to a room where the first Checkpoint Flag is. The right side of this area has another door leading to the next area.

The room after the Checkpoint Flag has a row of Big Shoomps conjoined together, and thus all move at once. On top of the row of Big Shoomps are two more Mumsies. At the right side of this area is a door leading to the next room. This next room is still and does not sway. If the players activate a nearby Wow Bud, it will cause the first section of ruins to sway, where they can use the Big Shoomp there to reach to the next section of ruins, which are also still. The second section of the room also has a Mumsy and two Big Shoomps stacked on top of each other, blocking the way to the next section. Activating the Wow Bud here will cause the blocks here to sway and cause the Shoomps to fall into the poison, allowing the players to progress to the third, fourth and fifth ruin sections of the room, also initially still. There are more Wow Buds that cause the ruins to sway. There is one short Shoomp each at the third and fourth sections, and a Mumsy at the fifth section. The Goal Pole is found past the fifth section, but it is fake; it will not lead to any new courses. The players must use a Shoomp to get to a floating door at the fourth ruin section, which will lead them on the right path.

The room that this floating door leads to has a short Shoomp that has the Wonder Flower. After obtaining it, the ground will become slimy and slippery and the walls will become bouncy. There is also a time limit of ninety seconds for this Wonder Effect. The players must make jumps across gaps and avoid bouncy blocks and a Shoomp along the way to reach the Wonder Seed on the right side of the area. Collecting the Wonder Seed will stop the Wonder Effect. The players can then progress even further to the right to find a ruin section that is still, but upon activating a Wow Bud on top of a Shoomp, it will sway and cause the Shoomp to tilt to the right, where the real Goal Pole is. The players can use this Shoomp to reach the top of the Goal Pole.
