| *In the [[Mario Kart 8 Deluxe#Pre-release and unused content|game's data]], the filenames for {{classic link|Tour|Rome Avanti}}, {{classic link|GCN|DK Mountain}}, and {{classic link|Wii|Daisy Circuit}} all imply that they were originally set for different placements in the pass (the fourth course of the [[Feather Cup]], the second course of the [[Cherry Cup]], and the second course of the [[Spiny Cup]] - which was originally labelled as a [[Mario Kart: Double Dash!!|GCN]] course - respectively). Internal data also suggests that {{classic link|Tour|Vancouver Velocity}} and {{classic link|Wii|Maple Treeway}} (which are the fourth courses of the Cherry Cup and [[Rock Cup]] respectively in the final version) were intended to be the first and second courses of this cup. The third course also originally had no prefix attached to it, but was later replaced by {{classic link|Wii|Moonview Highway}} (which is the third course of the Feather Cup in the final version) instead.
