The course is structured like the United States of America map, with the landmarks being: the Hawaii island (in the middle of a water obstacle between the tee and the rest of the course, reachable via a rope bridge), the Arizona desert and mountains (filled with bunkers), the Great Lakes region (a water obstacle) and lastly the New York City (the green, completed with buildings, with the Empire State Building being the flag pole of the hole). Nearby the green, there is also a Niagara Falls area that is a shallow water obstacle. The sign, that reports the hole par shots and yards, leaves both indications unknown.

Mario is the first to go, landing in Hawaii and getting distracted by the hula girls, which results in Peach getting jealous, overriding her Peach Robo protocol and giving him the wrong club, yet a strong one that let him skip over the Arizona area. When approaching the green, Golf Daiō uses his powers to alter the ground and makes Mario's ball fall in the Niagara Falls area. Mario manages to recuperate in the next shot, landing on the green, but Golf Daiō makes the Statue of Liberty emerge from under him and his ball to hinder him, but thanks to Ayako and Peach, Mario manages to finish the hole with one shot less than Golf Daiō, defeating him and winning the match.
