120 star prize
What do you guys think the in-game prize is for collecting 120 stars? Me, I think it's a new character or two. User:DK Fan
It's the Special World. Look at SMG2 Prima's Guide. Mario Fan 123 - Mario's CRAAAZY FAN!
- Please talk about this on a forum, this is for serious questions, not speculation unfortunately. --FREAK ~Game Freak~ OUT!
Reference to other games
Should we add a references to other games section? There are some elements from older Mario games. Mario JC
- Well, I heard a music from super mario world, I saw checkpoint flag, berries...etc.I think that is not all...I agree with Mario JC.Any other opinions?Count Bonsula I need blood...
So hows about that reference to other games section? The game's released (in USA, and Australia's release date is still about a month away...) =( Mario JC
Boss changes?
WHERE IS IT CONFIRMED THAT THE ICE TAP-TAP THING IS A BOSS. if it's a boss then why isn't the chomp head a boss as well??? User:MarioMaster720
- The fact that it has the same 'Boss' music as Peewee Piranha? Perhaps?
The preceding unsigned comment was added by TheUltimateKoopa (talk).
perhaps you should try signing your comments? and the E3 Trailer didn't show the boss music. give me a link that shows the music & boss and i 'l' see. User:MarioMaster720
- E3 2009 trailer? Do you realise how old that is? There was absolutely NO music officially recorded for that game whatsoever, apart from the sequenced 'trailer' music. Watch this, and it will prove to you that it has "boss" music.--TheUltimateKoopa 14:05, 18 May 2010 (EDT)
@MarioMaster720 On the Japanese website it shows a TON of those chomps on a planet. AND it shows a Power Star in a cage on the same planet. Damariogamr (talk)
Ok, i see it now. thanks guys :-) User:MarioMaster720
Upside Dizzy
Which of these is Upside Dizzy, and whatever is Upside Dizzy, what is the OTHER one called?
Is it the galaxy featured in this image: File:SMG2 Comet Metal.png
Or the galaxy featured in this video:
They both have the whole 'gravity is determined by the background' thing going, exept the one in the picture has the gravity change automatically, where as the one in the video has the gravity changed via switches. Is the one in the picture an early version, or are they just different galaxies with very similar 'gimmicks', like Bubble Blast vs Bubble Breeze in Super Mario Galaxy, for example?
Again, if one is Upside Dizzy, which one, and therefore, what's the other one?--TheUltimateKoopa 13:36, 18 May 2010 (EDT)
Maybe both of these are parts of upside dizzy galaxy? and again SIGN YOUR COMMENTS (THE ONE WHO ASKED WHICH WAS UPSIDE DOWN GALAXY!!!!!!!!! User:MarioMaster720
- GET SOME GLASSES AND YOU'LL SEE THAT I DID SIGN MY COMMENT!!!!!!!!!! Can't you see where it says TheUltimateKoopa 13:36, 18 May 2010 (EDT)? IF not, you should learn to read.--TheUltimateKoopa 13:57, 18 May 2010 (EDT)
it was a misunderstanding because i thought that someone else wrote a comment before you said "They both have the whole 'gravity is determined by the background' and so on.... My fault sorry. User:MarioMaster720
The other galaxy is the rightside down galaxy. -Rosalina1234
Confirmed Galaxies
If you go to the Prima Games website you will find all the confirmed galaxies. Here are some unconfirmed ones that are now confirmed. World 1: Rightside Down Galaxy. World 2: Wild Glide Galaxy. World 3: Freezy Flake Galaxy and Rolling Masterpiece Galaxy. World 4: Supermassive Galaxy, Flipsville Galaxy, Starshine Beach Galaxy, Chompworks Galaxy, Sweet Mystery Galaxy, Honeyhop Galaxy, Bowser's Gravity Gauntlet. Well there you have it

- So, wait does that mean that, in response to my question above about Upside Dizzy, that the article about Upside Dizzy is actually describing "Rightside Down" galaxy?--TheUltimateKoopa 20:39, 18 May 2010 (EDT)
- Kind of. The screenshot was the Upside Dizzy Galaxy And the video Rightside Down. At least I'm pretty sure. signed It's a me 123
Never knew of that... OK ¢oincoll€ctor
To many screen Shots
There are over 50 screen shots of the game, I think we could remove a lot.Doctorseaweed 23:49, 18 May 2010 (EDT)

Whomp King
I do not believe that the whomp in the transmission is the whomp king. Just becuase it is in the same spot doesn't mean it is the same thing. It loooks just like a normal whomp. Ganondox
We have no proofs that he's the whomp king, should we delete the info? Also, where is this giant whomp seen, is there a video link?Count Bonsula I need blood...
- The one where the original Whomp King used to be may not be the Whomp, but there IS a Whomp King in the game. For starters, the mission is called Return of the Whomp King, and secondly, the actual boss has a crown.--TheUltimateKoopa 08:28, 21 May 2010 (EDT)
- You're right, the "whomp king" we saw was just an ordinary whomp(or a giant whomp)that you have to defeat and access the king's battle. We mistaked him for the king because in Super Mario 64 he was in the top of the fortress.Count Bonsula I need blood...
Enemy Changes!!!
When i first watched this video: http://mynintendonews.com/2010/05/20/nintendo-wii-super-mario-64-level-featured-in-mario-galaxy-2/. I noticed an identical Giant Purple Piranha plant at 0:35 as the ones in Super Mario Galaxy. I checked the enemy list and Piranha plant article and it stood nothing about it so i added it on the enemy list. And by the way, Those enemies piloting Koopa Clown Copters look almost identical to the Undergrunt Gunners also from the First game. I won't add the Koopa Clown Enemy in the article, but the Purple piranha plant MUST be there.

Under Haunty Halls Galaxy, they added the comment: "I shake my fist at you, King Boo" Iruni181 (talk)
Thats possible. I will search for more info. How botu you look, too?
- interesting... but we'll have to see about that. Only 3 more days till it is released in America. --FREAK ~Game Freak~ OUT!
Chargin Chucks?

i didn't see it either. Can you us which second in the video they appear? for example 0:33 or 1:25? User:MarioMaster720
that is indeed a chargin chuck
That doesn't look like a Chargin' Chuck to me. For starters, Chargin' Chucks don't have a spike on their head, nor do they hop like that. Also, where's it's Koopa-like features? And by the way, did I sound mean when I said that? Because if I did, I didn't mean it! Lemmy Koopa Fan (talk)
It is not a Chargin' Chuck. MrConcreteDonkey

Sources
Listen people!! Now, EVERY SINGLE EDIT TO ADD INFO TO THIS PAGE MUST BE SOURCED, ELSE, IT WILL BE REMOVED. This goes for every edit, including names, galaxies, enemies, gameplay, history, images, etc... Thanks and keep contributing. --™ The 'Shroom 12:10, 21 May 2010 (EDT)
- Oh yeah! Don't BOTHER giving sources to the fact that Chargin' Chucks are in the game, even though they are NOT! And whenever I removed the "Unlocked by collecting x amount of comet medals" in the "How to unlock" part of Flip-Swap Galaxy WITHOUT SOURCES, you then continued to re-insert that part... again, WITHOUT SOURCES. Insisting that "Comet Medals unlock harder levels" meant entire galaxies, failing to see that the word "Comet" was in the name, thus OBVIOUSLY suggesting "Prankster Comets"--TheUltimateKoopa 08:00, 25 May 2010 (EDT)
- Can I also add that I'm not the ONLY one who thinks this?--TheUltimateKoopa 08:07, 25 May 2010 (EDT)
- Well, he has a point.Where is dino piranha, what proves that those guys are chargin' chucks?I didn't see them.Count Bonsula I need blood...
- Dino Piranha is in Boss Blitz Galaxy along with King Kaliente, Major Burrows, Bouldergeist and Fiery Fino Piranha--TheUltimateKoopa 09:31, 25 May 2010 (EDT)
Two Questions
The first one is, where is the proof of the names of the new bosses. And the second is, where is the Ice Flower?! I mean, every one power-up is returning! McQueenMario
- Maybe they removed the Ice Flower for some kind of reason. I think I know which reason. *checks New Super Mario Bros. Wii* rend (talk) (edits)
Why didn't the one who wrote the new bosses's names apply their sources. Like said in the "Sources" topic sentence: EVERY SINGLE EDIT TO ADD INFO TO THIS PAGE MUST BE SOURCED, ELSE, IT WILL BE REMOVED. So i will remove the bosses until someone can confirm that those are the official names. User:MarioMaster720
- Because you can't really put "the game" as a source, even though "the game" was the source. Well, to be exact, a live playthrough of the game. Whoever said it was called Mallettoid is an idiot. It's Megahammer.
--TheUltimateKoopa 20:03, 22 May 2010 (EDT)
- I think the Ice Flower was removed because Yoshi's Dash Pepper already lets you walk on water.Y0SHI3gg 21:31, 5 August 2010 (UTC)

New Bosses?
Okay, so I was on IGN.com, and it showed videos of new boss fights, their names, and the galaxies theyre fought in:
-Glamdozer looks like an obese clam-pig and is fought in Flipsville Galaxy.
-Pikante looks like the result of a 3-way crash between an electrogoomba, monty tank, and an undergrunt gunner and is fought in Shiverburn Galaxy.
-Squizzard looks like a blargg magmaargh covered with sand and is fought in Slipsand Galaxy.
-Lakitu is the name that appears for the obese lakitu (not sure if this is offical.)
-Sorbetti is the ice taptap creature and is fought in Freezy Flake Galaxy.
Not sure if the names are correct (Sorbetti, Pikante, Lakitu). We'll find out Sunday for sure. These are what I think they look like. Damariogamr (talk)
Also, where is their proof of Dino Piranha and all those other bosses returning in the game? McQueenMario
- I haven't seen Dino Piranha in the game yet, but Bugaboom appears in a galaxy in world 2. None of those other returning bosses are sourced, so it might not be true. Fawfulfury65
- Boss Blitz Galaxy, it has the five bosses from the first game. Baby
Stars?
Does anyone have a complete list of stars in order? I did a list on another site (nintendo.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Mario_Galaxy_2), however, some of the main galaxies' normal (yellow/gold) stars are secret stars, but some are just a second normal star, and the galaxies with secret stars have a normal star, then comet star, then secret star (i.e. the comet star is 2nd), where as the other galaxies have a normal star, another normal star, and THEN the comet star as a third star. Also, every single galaxy has the same number of Green Stars as yellow stars, except Grandmaster Galaxy, which only has 2 (The Ultimate Test and The Perfect Run)--TheUltimateKoopa 14:19, 24 May 2010 (EDT)
UNDELETE THE GALAXY2BOX NOW!
Why did you have to delete the "galaxy2box" template you STUPID idiots? It's been up for about THREE MONTHS, and there was a freaking REASON for it! It was NOT an "exact copy of the galaxybox template". It had the word "World" instead of "Dome" for starters! --TheUltimateKoopa 07:40, 25 May 2010 (EDT)
- I'm sorry TUK but having two infoboxes on the same subject is slightly (very) redundant and that creates useless templates. If you notice a problem with the new template you are free to fix it, the page isn't protected is it? I believe you already have fixed it in fact! Now, the current problem does not seem like a problem to me anymore... Marioguy1 (talk)
- Maybe you should have ranted here in the first place instead of replacing the page with your comment. And use appropriate language (this doesn't answer your question, but I'm telling you this). Mario JC
- It's all right for now, all; I just noticed that because of this "rant", TheUltimateKoopa got a three month ban as the result -- primarily for flaming. And I can see why. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 03:50, 26 May 2010 (EDT)

Okay guys. I asked this question in the first archive. But now you played the game and all that, I can't see Toad, where is he?Count Bonsula I need blood...
- The Toad Brigade is in the game. They're Toads. I could be wrong, but there also might be some Toads in the game's opening as well. Fawfulfury65

No Spindel
Apparently, those "Spindels" are actually called Romps. So, should I get rid of Spindel being in the game?

UR MR GAY/ YA IM RU
On the Super Mario Galaxy discussion page it was said that the infamous "UR MR GAY" star boxart spelling should NOT be included in the trivia section, Recent SMG2 fans have noticed another "sexual" spelling in the boxart of Super Mario Galaxy 2 which normally says: UR MI AY, but if read backwards it says: YA IM RU which is translated to: SMG: You're Mr. Gay? SMG2: Yeah i am, are you?. I'm 100% sure that CAN'T be a coincidence so i think that it deserves a mention in the trivia section. The first one was not mentioned because it could have been a coincidence, but this....Come on. Respond so i will know if i will add it or not. User:MarioMaster720
- I'm 100% sure that IS a coincidence. Mario games aren't THAT immature. Koopalmier 17:29, 5 June 2010 (EDT)

The stars under A and I could just as easily be seen as being under L and O.--Kirbychu HR'D 16:25, 15 June 2010 (UTC)
Gimme a break! Why do you guys try to make nintendo look bad? And yes the stars could be seen under L and O. making that thing say you are moly.Count Bonsula I need blood...
Dino Piranha, King Kaliente, Major Burrows
Why does this keep getting changed back? During the game you have to battle Dino Piranha and King Kaliente four times, the regular mission, the speed run, and both green star mission. Major Burrows is three times, normal mission, speed run, and the second green star mission. Yes, you do have to battle them in order to make the launch star appear in order for you to get to the next planet so you can make your way to the green star, so stop removing this. --SinnohMasterGalaxy 23:58, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
- You do not have to do that for Green Stars. The Green Stars are scattered throughout the levels, but beating the bosses does not ever (as far as I know), actually give you a Green Star. That means you only have to beat them once or twice. Fawfulfury65

The Baby Luma and Mario's Hat
When the Baby Luma heads back to his home, he takes Mario's hat as a souvenir, which did make Mario feel shocked. Afterward, Rosalina and the Baby Luma return to the Comet Observatory, and the ship flies off.
I saw a video that had the Baby Luma take Luigi's hat. Should it be changed to Luigi's hat instead of Mario's Hat??? KS3 (talk · contribute) 14:26, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

Super Mario Galaxy 2 Reception
I want to add something in Reception area: On GameRankings.com, it is current tied for first place with The Legend of Zelda: Ocarnia of Time (put a hyperlink on Zelda Wiki.org) but I think it's "closed" right now. Can anyone edit it? --AnonymousPerson 22:50, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
Refrences to other Games section
This section is 99% accurate, but it says that The intro to SMG2 is a continuation from the Grand Finale Galaxy from the first game. This is speculation, no? The Grand Finale Galaxy left off with Mario getting a Power Star right in front of Peach's castle, but when SMG2 starts, Mario is not here, and Peach invites him to the castle. The nattarater even says: "The Star Festival has comeAgain" (Well, he said something like" The star festival happens every hundred years, and that time has come again) Should this inaccurate information be deleted? Ratfink43
Innacurate "New Enemies" Section?
The "New Enemies" section of the page lists a number of enemies that have appeared in previous Mario games (Big Boos, Hammer Bros., and Whomps to name a few). Many of the enemies listed are ones that didn't appear in Super Mario Galaxy, but are certainly not new. If I am misunderstanding the purpose of this section and it is in fact for listing enemies that appear in a game that weren't in it's prequel then please let me know.--Kirbychu HR'D 04:30, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- I believe the section references enemies new to the Super Mario Galaxy series (i.e. not in the first game) and it is accurate on that count Alexfusco5 (talk)
- Well then the section title should probably be changed. The current title suggests that the enemies listed are enemies new to the Mario series, and similar sections on other articles (Such as the "New Enemies" section on the page for New Super Mario Bros.) only use the section for that purpose. There should at least be a note saying that the enemies are new to the Mario Galaxy series and not the Mario series as a whole.--Kirbychu HR'D
- I think people realize the section does not pertain to the Mario series as a whole, since the returning enemies section features enemies found only in the first Galaxy. Mario4Ever (talk)

How do you edit the article?
I am having trouble editing the Super Mario Galaxy 2 article. I cannot find any sort of "edit" buttons neither at the top of the aricle, nor in a section. I am also having this trouble with NSMBW. Is this because I do not have something that users who edit the article have, or is it that this article cannot be edited at all?--Holyromanemperortatan 15:32, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Red and Blue Platforms?
Okay, under the Gameplay Elements section, it says that Red and Blue platforms were brought back from Super Mario Sunshine. I know what they are from SMG2, however I don't recall anything like that ever being in Super Mario Sunshine at all...would anyone be able to enlighten me?
